Made of cedar and highly refined wax, the Firebox Fuel Puck is designed to light easily and burn hot. Since most meals take less than 30 minutes to cook, they are a perfect solution as an emergency source of heat for cooking.

The Firebox Fuel Pucks can be used as a firestarter to get even damp wood burning or if you want to use them as a stand alone fuel, we recommend placing them in an empty chunk can (the larger size, you’ll know, the puck fits perfectly). Placing them into a can will slow the burn down (doubles the burn time) to create a nicer cooking temperature. This allows you to place something on top to snuff the flame saving the remaining fuel for the next use. 

To Light: Using a lighter, light the edge of the Firebox Fuel Puck (in windy conditions, try breaking off a piece of the Firebox Fuel Puck and lighting it on top of the remaining fuel puck).

Tip: Most meals only require about 15 minutes of burn time. To get the most out of your Fuel puck, you can break it in half or quarters and save the rest for later use.
