Trangia Spirit Burner Includes: Trangia Spirit Burner, Simmer Ring, and cap with O-Ring.

Easy to use due to the simple construction. The simmer ring ring regulates the heat and is used to save fuel or to extinguish the flame. Works in all weather conditions. Never refill the spirit burner until the flame is completely extinguished. One filling (max. ⅔ of its height) will burn in approximately 25 minutes. Boils 1 liter of water in 10 minutes (varies according to the weather and quality of fuel). Allow generally 1.0 liter of methylated spirits for cooking for 2 people per week. Effect: 1000 w/3500 BTU.

The Factory New Trangia Burners have a crimped connection that sometimes leaks if fuel is stored in the burner. Solder Sealing that crimped connection ensures a leak proof seal.

With the Solder Sealed Spirit Burner, alcohol can be stored inside the burner for the next day (or the next couple of days), provided that the O-Ring is undamaged. However, it is essential that the burner has cooled down completely before the lid is closed. Please note that the alcohol must not be stored in the Spirit Burner for a long period of time. The burner should not be packed down in the stove during transport with the fuel, as it can leak. The twist on cap with O-Ring seals the burner so you don’t have to empty unused fuel between uses and prevents evaporation – less fuel wasted means less fuel you have to carry.

Note: Because of the high copper content in Trangia brass, more patina on new out of the box product should be expected . The soldering process is done by Firebox Stove (not part of the original manufacturing process) and the brass reacts to the heat/soldering process and will get various patinas.
