The 5″ Extended Grill Plate is as wide as the Firebox is tall, giving you more grilling versatility. It attaches to the top of the 5” G2 Firebox creating an expanded grilling surface. The Extended Grill Plate is not intended as a pot support over a high temp fire. Use charcoal briquettes as your heat source for extended use or slow roasting meats.

Note: Do not leave the Extended Grill Plate over the fire without food on it. Doing so would cause warpage as there wouldn’t be anything to absorb the heat out of the sheet metal.
